Post subject: Windows Media Player CDs

Windows media player does not recognize the .cda extention as a valid media file and will not play commercial cds. I was able to play them using the dvd player installed but wanting to use wmp to play and burn cd copies I uninstalled the dvd player and cannot play cds or dvds.

Please help.
